Upcoming Youthfest 2024
With over 7,000 Broward County students having reported that they are homeless; either sleeping in a car, a shelter, or couch surfing with a relative or friend, YouthFest 2024 will bring awareness and advocacy of the plight of these unfortunate youth.
On Thursday, October 10, 2024, in recognition of National Homeless Day, Hearts Flow Inc. in partnership with Sunfire High School will serenade students, parents, and visitors with a day of food, fun, and games. Sunfire's High School principal Mrs. Lovely said, “It is great that Sunfire is standing in the fight against homeless students in Broward County.”
In attendance will be Congresswoman McCormick who will deliver the feature address. Other elected officials will also attend to show their support. Resources such as HEART (Homeless Education Assistance Resource Team) a Broward County Schools program that provides financial, educational, and other community social resources to homeless students from Pre-K to 12th grade, and Smith Community Mental Health will be on-site. “This will be a huge win for the homeless community,” says Andrea Chan, HeartsFlow VP of Administration. “HeartsFlow will continue to build on this momentum. HeartsFlow is committed to making a dent in these heartfelt numbers, and will continue not only to advocate, but make an impact in 2025 and beyond by providing mental health and addiction counseling services, as well as housing to those impacted by homelessness.”
Along with the games and prizes, photo opportunities, and food, students will be entertained by a surprise Christian rap artist, Hot 105 DJ Sco, and blind rapper Hott Wheelz305.

HOMELESS FEST 2023 A HUGE SUCCESS
With over 3,000 plus Broward County students having reported that they are homeless; either sleeping in a car, a shelter, or couch surfing with a relative or friend, Homeless Fest 2023 was a huge success and got the message out through education, awareness, and advocacy.
On Tuesday, October 10, 2023, in recognition of National Homeless Day, Hearts Flow Inc. in partnership with Sunfire High School serenaded students, parents, and visitors with a day of food, fun, and games. According to Sunfire's High School principal Mrs. Lovely, “I am ready for next year. It was great that Sunfire is standing in the fight against homeless students in Broward County. I can’t even imagine what it is like to be in that situation.”
In attendance were employees of HEART (Homeless Education Assistance Resource Team) a Broward County Schools program that provides financial, educational, and other community social resources to homeless students from Pre-K to 12th grade. “This is a huge win for HeartsFlow and the homeless community,” says Jordan Marrale, COO of HeartsFlow. “HeartsFlow will continue to build on this momentum. Vendors included Recovery First (a dual-diagnosis substance abuse program), and Smith Community Mental Health. “Despite the lack of media coverage or attendance by elected officials, I cannot wait for next year,” says Andrea Chan Volunteer in charge of social media for HeartsFlow. “We will continue to spread the word.
